A Small House with a Big Heart
Hazar House began with a simple dream: to create a small, welcoming home in Chicago where food, family, and culture come together.
Hazar House is owned by siblings Sara and Ali. Together, they are building Hazar House as a family.
Their story is rooted in family history - their father is Hazara from Afghanistan, and their mother's family is Chechen from Grozny. Our family story began more than four decades ago, when Sara and Ali's parents met, and it continues today in this new chapter.
With just ten tables, Hazar House was never meant to be big. It was created to feel like a little home - warm, personal, and filled with memories. The name carries that meaning: Hazara heritage and a house that welcomes everyone.
Here, Central Asian and Middle Eastern flavors are served with the warmth of home.
Welcome to Hazar House.
Welcome home.
